Club Assembly and Presidents Handover
28th June 2010

From the Club Assembly meeting a new Rotary year starts for the Club, present at this event was the Assistant Governor Garner Roberts.
Past President Tony Wallis hands over the chain of office to our President for 2010-11 Paul Dickinson.
First duty for President Paul was to install the office of President Elect to Rtn David Sharp
President Paul took over the chair of the meeting, and thanked past President Tony for his year. The Club had a great 25th Anniversary year and Paul said it will be a hard act to follow. He was sure, however, that the Club will continue to succeed with the proposals for this Rotary year
Paul says “ In my view, the key to Rotary membership is to do as much as possible towards Rotary’s service aims while having as much fun as you can while doing so. Rotary is certainly about raising money for charities and working in the community to organise events such as the Young Musician competition, the Christmas parcels and the party for the elderly, but it is more than that. It is also a club where people have a great time through friendship, good fellowship and through working together.”
Our meetings are normally on Monday evening’s at 7.30pm at:- Quorn Lodge Hotel46 Asfordby Road, Melton Mowbray, Leics. LE13 0HR. England. Tel: (01664) 566660 Fax: (01664) 480660 quornlodge@aol.com

Hi Ken. Feeling much better as of today and have tried to remember what you said about uploading pictures but failed!
That said I think that the site is beginning to look good, well done!
As I e-mailed before I find the site good and I hope Tony’s write up bears fruit with new members.
